The Scarecrow and the Story Behind Chipotle’s New Ad

Most people have seen this haunting, disturbing and heart-grabbing new ad from Chipotle, which has positioned itself as the first fast food company to reject GMO’s:

I love that this natural project has Fiona Apple singing “Pure Imagination.” Thanks to Mitch for finding the story behind the making of this short film. You can find that by clicking here. I’m sending all sorts of energy and intentions that Chipotle makes a huge success of this fresh, real food stance. Spread the word! I love supporting companies making a positive difference.

  1. And didn’t you used to work at a Chipotle, Laura? =)

  2. Nope, never worked there. I did eat there a couple weeks ago, and they have changed out whatever GMO oil they were using. Chipotle used to give me an immediate pimple and leave me feeling kind of greasy/queasy for a couple days afterwards. This time, everything was so fresh, and they even had bacon-free pinto’s. Much improved flavor and vibration! I’ve always liked Chipotle as far as fast food goes, but it wasn’t something my body liked much. I have been very impressed with them taking a firm stand. I hear they are also contributing to YES on 522 in Washington State, but that’s unconfirmed by me at this point. In any case, for non-radical food eaters, Chipotle is a way to make a difference with your dollar and have a healthier fast food meal out than pretty much anywhere else. A win in my book!

  6. Brilliant Concept, never heard of the food chain, but not surprising living in the UK… I wonder when we will wake up to what we are ingesting! and really get back to growing our own without the use of chemicals?

Loved the video and the link in which I found out more 🙂 thank you

  8. I know where to get my mexican food. I used to have Qdoba all the time (with no cheese or meat for a diet). I got tired of the taste, but will try Chipotle now. Chipotle has been advertising like this or years, but maybe they have taken another step.
