Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Today we have another guest post from the lovely Electra Jung. She discusses the upcoming Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, along with some important Uranus information. In reading her words, I recognize the shared experience of many clients and friends, even though I seem somehow to be floating through this Mercury Retrograde. Closing my Facebook account at the same time I’ve delved into The Mists of Avalon and continue winterizing our house all seem to have insulated me from much of the prevailing chaos. Instead, I keep sensing such overwhelming freedom, joy, and optimism. I know they’re coming! I see, feel, hear — even smell and taste the shift. No matter how bleak the “news,” I just can’t shake my sense that everything’s gonna be not only OK … but wonderful!!

In the meantime, if you’re feeling a bit off kilter, here’s what’s happening in the sky. Thanks, as always, to Electra for sharing her wisdom and observations with us:

Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

(and Mercury continues to retrograde!)

Can’t remember anything anymore!

This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the sign of the Twins inwardly represents the conscious mind. Mercury is the ruling planet of this lunation and continues to provide endless mental and emotional overwhelm and lack of focus though its weakened retrograde motion. …we are in a state of confusion! This full moon in the sign of the mental intellectual creates an atmosphere of depression and vulnerability as confidence and outward progress are restricted and worry sets in.

Memory and focus are the challenges to overcome. The awareness of these create chaos as we experience lack in memory, promises made and forgotten — creative thinking is challenged by dullness and lack of originality. The requirements now are for careful observation of your own re-actions toward change and conflict in your daily life.

When was the last time you had so many forgotten commitments, appointments, inability to reach someone who was previously available and on top of it all…why can’t you remember something so important a minute ago? Could you be losing your mind or just getting …dementia?

Full Moons are always about relationship with yourself and the imbalance between your ego and emotions, your will to act or re-act according to the situation at hand. Either personal, professional or spiritual, it is time to balance. The challenging interactions between yourself and others will be given the opportunity for resolution of on-going issues which seem to never reach conclusion.

Endless talking, mindless thinking, along with anxiety and the inability to sleep as you repeatedly forget and remember what direction you were heading…how you wish to express yourself: this difficult time is enhanced by negative, obsessive thinking due to the continuing retrograde of Mercury.

The true nature of a retrograde planet is to turn the energy inward indicating the time for personal retreat …a “time-out” for reflection of past actions, especially spoken words, which have led to current conditions. … and develop awareness of the rational, superficial expression used to communicate without making any real contact.

“All eclipses, whether solar or lunar, have the potential to change your circumstances. Eclipses are expressed through a crisis of some kind, whether it is a real crisis or not, it may feel very real to you. Many times a new beginning involves letting go of something from the past, whether it be a person, a relationship, an object, or a behavior. This is especially true during a lunar eclipse.”

The planetary activity is creating a lot of intense energy. The challenging interactions between yourself and others will be given the opportunity for resolution of on-going issues which seem to never reach conclusion.

The retrograde cycle now reveals the inner-need to reassess our thoughts, emotional needs and words, which have been used to remain detached and protected. This is the time to reconnect with true feelings and restructure the words and communications with others to maintain more nourishing and meaningful relationships.

Previously stated and worth re-mentioning… Full Moons can lead to illuminating insights or painful alienation due to the energetic tendency to “project.” We are to withdraw from the addiction to the continual overload of ideas, news, feedback, connecting to social networks through the modern digital age wireless communication.

From the personal to the collective, we all are faced with the need to build upon experience in some areas of life, while being open to necessary changes in others. This requires awareness. To be aware, we must stop and pay attention objectively watch ourselves in action.

Uranus stations direct

Today as Uranus re-directs at the powerful Solstice degree we will see everything accelerate. We will collectively discover our character and humanity as we face changes and continuing crises.

Most of us will resist change but change is coming never-the-less. A traditional meaning of this transit is “out with the old, in with the new”.

“You can live a lifetime and, at the end of it, know more about other people than you know about yourself.” — Beryl Markham

Uranus direct encourages a de-conditioning of ingrained social patterns and conditioning. It is now the time to become more aware of authentic selves and express unique and previously repressed originality.

We live most of our lives by habit. These habits keep us stuck in patterns that limit our experience of life. Once we detect a pattern we were previously unconscious of, we can choose differently, if we want. With awareness comes choice and with choice, we gain freedom.

[A note from Laura: Uranus is the planet that rules the zodiac sign of Aquarius. As in the Age of Aquarius. My friend Tim Glenn calls Uranus “the cosmic weirdo.” Expect some wild, weird stuff. Embrace unconventional solutions when they arrive, and please don’t be afraid to claim your freedom. 🙂 Happy Full Moon Lunar Eclipse! Thanks again to Electra for this post. 5. I find through all the mist and shadows our intellect can rest … let go and trust what appears… to welcome the present as all we are driven to obtain disappear in the distance. Everything is right here…requires receptiveness… without mental strategy!

    Learn to let go
