Revelations, Lightworkers, 2012 and Doreen Virtue

I was stunned to read this vision of Doreen Virtue’s from sometime before the 1997 printing of her book, “The Lightworker’s Way,” since it eerily coincides with some visions I received shortly after my 1998 brain injury. So stunned, in fact, that I thought I’d share Dr. Virtue’s wisdom here, since it resonates so strongly with all my earlier posts about food sovereignty, Codex Alimentarius, the EU’s herb ban, and the power of collective intentions, visualizations and prayer. I’ve lived with these downloads for a very long time. I didn’t know someone as prolific as Doreen Virtue was also having them and sharing them publicly. I know what I choose, but I’m also comforted in the knowledge (underscored by her vision) that it will all occur in Divine and perfect order and that Lightworkers will stand in good stead due to their understanding of spiritual laws and Love:

“We simply need to ask for guidance and then follow it. I thought of the times in which I’d pushed against life, straining to achieve goals. Those efforts always resulted in more stress and short-lived manifestations. I also recalled the times in which I had effortlessly manifest my needs using faith, visualization, and affirmations.

“As I pondered this, I received a chunk of information as if someone had scanned pages of a book into my mind. The message I got was that lightworkers, like myself, could manifest and heal anything. I saw a vision of a future in which traditional health care and food was artificially limited by a government-type agency that wanted to control the masses. It reminded me of the Revelations prophecy that warns of supplies being controlled by an anti-Christ.

“I saw lightworkers helping the sick and the hungry so that they could avoid succumbing to the governmental manipulation. Lightworkers, in this vision, were manifesting food out of thin air. They were also spiritually healing purely with thought and prayer, since no herbs or medicines were available.

“My vision also contained the information that all prophecies, such as that in Revelations, could be averted through lightworkers’ collective consciousness of love. In other words, we could avoid the whole scenario of diminished food and medical supplies through the united efforts of lightworkers. However, if lightworkers did not unite in time to avert the prophecy, they could still bring peace, healing, and supply to people through their spiritual gifts.

“I understood, after I received this vision, that I needed to rekindle the teachings about spiritual healing I had learned as a child. I was to dust them off and eventully write about and teach them to lightworkers who felt guided to read and hear my words. With that vision, I knew it was time to fully commit to my spiritual path.” ~Doreen Virtue (The Lightworker’s Way, first published in 1997 by Hay House)

Doreen Virtue’s vision looks more and more likely given this email I received today:

    Dear Laura

Last night we received some disturbing news. Despite more than 27,000 phone calls earlier this week and general outrage from the American people, we received an email that the leaders of the House agriculture committee (Frank Lucas R-OK and Collin Peterson D-MN) had most likely reached an agreement on the “Secret Farm Bill” and a decision could be announced as early as this weekend. Sources have confirmed that while House Ag leadership are ready to cut a deal, Senate Ag leaders (Debbie Stabenow D-MI and Pat Roberts R-KS) are still fighting over subsidy payments to the largest corporate farms.

We find these backroom deals to be an outrageous betrayal of our democratic process and another sign of how deeply out of touch politicians are in Washington DC. As we mentioned earlier, the Secret Farm Bill is being hatched behind closed doors by only 4 members of Congress and Big Ag lobbyists in an effort to reach arbitrary budget cuts to food and agricultural programs that will be proposed to the Super Committee to meet the November 23rd deadline.

It’s widely agreed that the $23 billion in cuts proposed by House and Senate ag leadership will essentially kill the 2012 Farm Bill, gutting any chances for major reforms in food and agriculture until the next farm bill due in 2017.

We need your help today, now more than ever. Help us raise $5,000 over the weekend so we can mount a last minute defense for farmers and eaters everywhere.

Last week the Secret Farm Bill was supposed to be announced on Tuesday November 1st, but after more than 27,000 phone calls from Food Democracy Now! members you helped stall that process. Today we need your help again to make sure that the Four Horsemen of the Farm Bill Apocalypse hear the voice of the American people — that backroom deals on major policy issues impacting the food that we feed our families, farmers and the environment cannot take place behind closed doors!

In the 21st century, there’s no room for secrecy like this — help shine a light on these corrupt and undemocratic negotiations.

Please join us in the fight to regain democracy of our plates, tables and food. The future of our food policy can no longer afford to be carved up by agribusiness lobbyists and the members of Congress who serve their corporate interests. It’s time for the people to have a voice!

Click here to chip in to fight the Secret Farm Bill. With small donations of $10 and $25 we will be able to continue this fight for a fair, open and transparent process.

As a small organization we can make your donations go a long way, we are a grassroots organization and don’t receive donations from large corporations and are funded by our members like you.

We are committed to this fight now, more than ever – please join us. Together, our voices will create the future we hope for.

Thanks for being a part of the solution and participating in food democracy,

Dave, Lisa and the Food Democracy Now! Team

PS — Right now these four members of Congress are locked behind closed doors trying to shut down any chances of possible reform. Make sure they hear your voice today! Take a look at their record of Big Ag donations below to see if these are the only people you want deciding the future of your food.

The Four Horsemen of the Farm Bill Apocalypse

    Zombies of the Haunted House:

    1. Frank Lucas – (R-OK) Current Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee

Lucas is so in the tank for industrial agriculture that earlier this year he proposed a hearing on the “over-regulation of agricultural biotechnology”.

Not surprisingly, during the 2009-2010 election cycle, Lucas received more than $317,000 from agribusiness interests, including $16,000 from Monsanto and $15,000 from the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. What do you think they want now?

    2. Collin Peterson (D-MN) Former Chair of the House Agriculture Committee

Peterson is widely known as “Cargill” Peterson for his love of defending industrial agriculture and has taken millions of dollars from agribusiness firms during his career; including $19,999 from Monsanto and $21,750 from the American Farm Bureau during the 2010 election cycle.

    Vampires of the Seditious Senate:

    3. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) Chairwoman of the Senate Agriculture Committee

Rumors point to Stabenow as leading the push for the “Secret Farm Bill” because she doesn’t want to have to deal with crafting this complicated piece of federal legislation during an election year.

If you think Stabenow’s willingness to throw out real reform of U.S. food policy because she doesn’t want the “headache” during an election season, consider the fact that during the 2012 election cycle, from 2007 to now, Stabenow has pocketed more that $483,000 in agribusiness PAC and individual donations and is currently the top recipient of Agricultural Services & Products donations. Priceless!

Kind of gives new meaning to the term, “Perks of the Senate”.

    4. Pat Roberts – (R-KS) Senate Agriculture Committee – Ranking Member

Roberts is a known industrial ag favorite, that during the 2009 Senate confirmation hearing of Secretary Vilsack he went so far as to draw an outrageous picture of organic farmers as GQ reading porch sitters. If that weren’t bad enough, Roberts has already grabbed more than $706,000 in agribusiness cash for the 2012 election cycle, including political donations from the National Corn Growers Association, DuPont, Pfizer and Syngenta.
