Sophia Love ~ Love Quest: Day 2 – The Cabin

Thanks to Sophia Love for this beautiful description of recent energies. I’ve heard from a lot of people of late who’ve needed to make a choice between the old, inadequate, outgrown misery vs. the new, unformed yet palpable “I want to live” and “I have so much more to offer!”

Sophia Love ~ Love Quest: Day 2 – The Cabin

Sophia's cabin

You’ve reached a critical moment for yourself. There are parts of you eating away at your core. You’ve been unaware of them until now. Why now? Because you’ve upgraded and improved. In order for the new stuff to stand strong and to last, anything that doesn’t support it – works to dismantle it.

Our family owns property in the mountains and on it has always stood what we affectionately called “the cabin”. It was little more than a tar paper shack with an outhouse. Five years ago we tore it down. In its place now stands a double-wide trailer complete with steps and a deck we built ourselves. There is even a bathroom that uses water from the stream running down the mountain. It’s beautiful.

Four years ago something began eating the steps and the deck, an unwelcome surprise. My nephew pulled in late one night and discovered the culprits – porcupines. We’d unknowingly built them a banquet of treated wood. They were ecstatic and aggressive and voracious.

Now, we could shoot them but there were lots of them, they were multiplying, and for sure they’d show up to continue the feast. We tried everything. We ended up in a compromise – an electric barrier surrounding all wooden structures attached to the cabin. It doesn’t hurt them but keeps them away from our steps.

It’s not that these critters had just arrived; they’d been there for years. We only noticed them when they threatened to destroy something we had just built, something new and better.

The stuff coming up now in your life, whether emotions or situations, is not new. You are stretching, growing wings, becoming a newer, lovelier version. These things, whatever they are, don’t support this new you. They were fine before, when Agape was not on the radar. Oh, you felt them – little jabs at your self esteem, dings at your self worth and reductions of your self value – but they were par for the course and passed quickly, soon forgotten. You barely noticed them.

Today, they seem to be center stage with a neon sign announcing their arrival. You can’t miss them. You will have to do something about them, to prevent them from destroying this new you.

For a long time they’ve comfortably travelled the same path you did – much like the porcupines. Today you are on the path to Agape. They remain doggedly on their route to self-doubt. In order to prevent a disruption in your journey you’ll have to dig deep – create such a well worn emotional path that it’s the first place your feelings drop into.

The other path exists and is eagerly travelled by “not good enough”, “have to”, “too slow”, “not ______(fill in the blank with your favorite)”. You can still see it, but it’s not your chosen route. This new, shiny, upgraded path has been reinforced and is deeply lined with truth. It’s a stronger road and becomes more-so with use. Plaques line its walls, saying things like: “You are perfect where you stand.” “I love you without exception.” “Under any condition and in every instance you are loved.”

At first it feels weird to walk there, and a little uncomfortable. Persevere, it’s a faster trip and the accommodations are better.

It took a long time for the porcupines to find our steps and destroy them. We were caught off guard and unprepared. You don’t have to be.

Create a well worn path of self acceptance. When you somehow fall onto that old familiar self defeating road, make a quick exit. Remember where you are going. The old road won’t take you there.

You are every inch the being of perfection you may have expected to instantly morph into about a year ago. Self hatred blinds you to this truth. Love yourself and watch you show up. She’ll be everything you dream of. He’ll be all you imagine. You’ll see.

You are the one you are waiting for.

See you tomorrow.
~Sophia

My Own Take on this Mercury Retrograde, Beginning February 6, 2014

Several people have asked me for a gloss on Ann’s and others’ articles about this potent Mercury Retrograde period, which began on February 6, 2014 at 4:44 p.m. East Coast time and officially runs through February 27th, not counting the Shadow Periods on either end. I encourage people to read or reread my earlier general tips for surviving and even thriving in Mercury Retrograde, but due to the requests for more clarity and guidance about this particular one, I will share some additional observations here.

First of all, I have a lot of Mercury in my chart. Tons. Mercury rules my Gemini Sun and my Virgo Ascendant, and I’ve got lots of key planets in Gemini, which means that I needed to learn how to turn Mercury Retrograde periods to my own advantage, or else face extreme inconvenience and even disaster for 9-12 weeks per year. Been there, done that … for awhile. No thanks! After some rough go rounds, I opted for learning how to thrive during the Rx periods, and the article linked above shares some of the most transferable ways to do that.

When examining this particular Merc Rx, the biggest factor appears to be Neptune, which rules addictions, illusions, mystical experiences, the ocean, and the sign of Pisces. Since Mercury Retrograde periods tend to build upon previous Merc Rx’s, they provide opportunities to review and revise where we found ourselves in the past few Mercury Retrograde periods. If you can’t remember those details, have a look at this chart and your calendar. Perhaps it will jog some memories. This first Merc Rx of 2014 — occurring in dreamy Neptune — will support (read: “push”) you to reevaluate areas of life in which you’ve allowed yourself to be fooled by illusions, sucked into addictions (relationships, substances, habits), or “forced” to invite inappropriate boundaries.

Anytime we find ourselves bamboozled, it’s tempting to blame the other person, the government, “the cabal” or whomever we feel perpetrated the deception. This Mercury Retrograde period will call us out as individuals who willingly participated in the lies. As individuals and as a society, we will need to accept our own responsibility in the dance of illusion, addiction and legerdemain, or else actively relegate ourselves to delusions that will — at best — prevent full satisfaction in life and — at worst — potentially result in the extermination of the human race. Yes, the stakes are high right now, and this first quarter of 2014 raises them even more.

I often recommend the website http://narcissismfree.com, both for the articles and the valuable ebooks. Kaleah does a great job explaining the sticky web of lies and illusion used by narcissists to ensnare their “victims,” and we live in an incredibly narcissistic society. I appreciate Kaleah’s work because she empowers people to see beyond the script, beyond what magicians and the Faery Realm call the “Glamour” — specters and projections that bear little resemblance to reality. In fact, the narcissistic web and “Glamour” often present the exact opposite of reality, making the ugly appear beautiful, the weak impenetrable, and the vampire generous. Throughout and following this Mercury Retrograde in Neptune, humanity will suffer exponentially greater pain for failing to pierce the Glamour. Those who do dismantle the projections will likely feel initial shock replaced by more freedom, exhilaration and possibility than they’ve ever felt before.

On a global level, I find it interesting that the Olympics fall smack dab in Mercury Retrograde. Whatever dastardly false flag plans anyone has for those Games will likely face the wrath of Murphy’s Law; however, any grand illusion presented might initially gain a worldwide following. That belief should be short lived, though, and the global backlash against what eventually reveals itself as obvious trickery might amuse a different kind of spectator. I would suggest a 30-day unplugging challenge during this Merc Rx and Shadow period. If you own a tell-LIE-vision, turn the lying thing off! If you listen to talk radio, turn it off. Ditto most Hollywood films. Without those three bastions of mass illusion for 30 days, you’ll go a long way towards reclaiming your mind.

If you know you have an active addiction to something else, then now might be a great time to review how you got into that set of circumstances in the first place. Consider upgrading any addictions you know you have. If you want to quit smoking, transmute that compulsion into exercise and/or meditation. Until humans fully heal, addictive holes remain, so it’s usually much easier to replace an addiction with a better quality habit than just trying to eliminate it.

If you, like me, like to utilize the predominant energies to amplify intentions, then get creative! Nebulous Neptune blurs boundaries, which can really help with brainstorming. If you’ve set aside a creative project, then the current energies support a fresh look and revision. If something seemingly immovable in your life or in this world upsets you, then the current energies offer optimal times for what I call Houdini-ing your way out. In order to escape illusions, it helps to know how one creates illusions. You can reverse engineer magick and Glamour as much as scientists reverse engineer technology. Deconstruct, revise, and rebuild. During Mercury Retrograde, think “re-.” Neptune gives you the most potent areas for the re-’s: addictions, illusions, deceptions, and all things murky or lost at sea.

Haha, I just typed “see” instead of “sea,” and both meanings hold true for this period. Practice seeing with your inner eye, and you’ll find intuition expands.

[WordPress just told me I finished the initial post at 888 words, which emphasizes the infinite potential of this period, doubles the 4:44 start time of the Mercury Retrograde, and, according to Doreen Virtue:

"888 — A phase of your life is about to end, and this is a sign to give you forewarning to prepare. This number sequence may mean you are winding up an emotional career or relationship phase. It also means there is light at the end of the tunnel. In addition it means, The crops are ripe. Don’t wait to pick and enjoy them. In other words, don’t procrastinate in making your move or enjoying the fruits of your labor."

Wise words.]

TODAY, February 6, 2014: Mercury turns to go RX within one degree of Neptune at 3° Pisces

laurabruno:

Great information about this Mercury Retrograde (click here), which “happened” just a few minutes ago. I will end up referencing this post whenever I finish the portal door I purposely began today. Oddly enough, I had been “told” to address it as 444, and just minutes I before addressed it, I “randomly” saw Ann’s post here noting the 4:44 timing of Merc Rx. I rushed downstairs and penned the 444 on the door at exactly 4:44. Potent intentions. This door is meant to undo and revise an already set agenda, so I view this as powerful support from the Universe. 444 also indicates that the angels love you very much and are cheering you on with their support. Wow. Still kind of reeling a little at the synchronicity of all of this — big even for synchronous me. ;)

So it’s not that rare. And I pretty much know what to expect: the mind turns inward, to go back over stuff that it may have taken for granted for too long. Travel plans may be interrupted, or switched, or confused. Likewise, communication of all kinds. Don’t sign important documents, since they may need to change.

On the other hand, I date my beginning as a professional astrologer to a day when Mercury was moving backward in the sky. I didn’t pick the date of this inception because of that; in fact, I didn’t notice it until another astrologer told…

Zoe Hind ~ Astrology 15-21 July 2013

I always find Zoe Hind’s forecasts soothing, even when she’s talking about major squares and revolutions. I know a lot of people have been struggling this week — especially feeling old emotions and patterns they thought they’d left behind long ago. It’s like life has cycled back to some of the least pleasant times in everyone’s lives in order to give an opportunity to see how far we’ve come. Without realizing that life’s doing a recycle right now, though, the resurgence of past issues for review can feel like failure. Please know this is just the energy right now. We can use it to change what we’re transmitting and receiving, or we can go down the self-pity and self-judgment spiral. We decide. Zoe gives some great insights and tips for making the most of these energies.

Mercury Retrograde and the June Special

Just a little reminder that Mercury went Retrograde on June 26, 2013 and will remain Rx until July 20th. With all the intense astrological alignments in the past year, Merc Rx seems to pale in comparison; however, those of you struggling with communications, delays, mix-ups and technological snafu’s might want to read a little refresher here.

That older post gives tips for utilizing the positive aspects of Mercury Retrograde in order to finish up old business or creative projects, release that which no longer serves and go inside yourself rather than focusing on “the new.” In light of this enhanced inner and releasing energy through July 20, I wanted to remind everyone that June’s Special ends tomorrow (the 30th) at 11:59 p.m. East Coast US time. The Shadow Work Tarot fits especially well with the energies and alignments of this particular Merc Rx. Wishing you each a transformational and freeing next few weeks!

JUNE 2013 SPECIAL

With all the public revelations happening right now, I’m getting a strong sense we need much more Shadow Work in our world, hence the focus on just one Special this month.

Shadow Work Tarot to Heal Karmic Ties
(can also be used by Healers, Counselors, Coaches and Lightworkers to discover how you can best help others to empower themselves through Shadow Work)

This one-hour phone or in-person reading features my interpretation of a special Tarot spread, combined with my ability to tune in to multiple past lives and the patterns they create. I’ve offered Shadow Work Tarot specials before, but this one can be a little different. It can be used on the personal level, but it can also be for healers, Lightworkers, counselors, or spiritual workers to find ways of helping others bring their Shadow into the Light. Different people have different gifts and skills, so this reading can highlight where best to focus your efforts as a healer in order to affect not only your own life but also the world via ripple effect. The cards never lie, and they help us to get in touch with Archetypes that structure our reality. Using the Major Arcana to understand our Shadow –including those lifetimes for which we may still be punishing ourselves or others — allows us to integrate that Shadow and ultimately release it into the Light.

You may purchase it at any time on or before June 30. 2013, but you do not need to schedule it prior to the 30th. That said, given the energies on this planet right now, my guides suggest sooner rather than later, as the more people address their Shadow side, the more active Lightworkers we have holding a positive vibration for the coming transitions. $111 for the hour. Mercury Retrograde 2013

Mercury Retrograde, Full Moon in Virgo … as Doreen Virtue notes:

“INTENSITY is the theme for this week, including intense feelings. The cards [in her weekly oracle card reading] show you making huge changes because of your intense feelings which are pushing you to leave unhealthy situations or behaviors. You start on a positive new path this week, as it is the right time to do so.”

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius 2012 –Electra Jung

Today we have a guest blog post from my friend, the lovely Electra Jung.

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius 2012
November 6, 2012 Election Day

Gypsies Tramps and Thieves

Preach a little gospel
Sell a couple bottles of doctor good

Have you been talking, buying, and selling a bill of goods? Re-member your words this retrograde in “talking too much” Sagittarius, for they are destined to come back and haunt you. In fact it may already be too late as there has been a lot of talk and too little action of late… actually no action. The meaning lies within the “no-action” as the atmosphere of emotion becomes dark and brooding when Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio on the 15th turning direct at 18 Scorpio on the 25th. Resentments are lurking in the shadows and this is the time to clear the air…the Spiritual Air.

Using frankincense, myrrh, rosemary and sage…keep your mental and emotional environment free from your own up and down thinking. Clear the air with forgiveness and practical action. This also means keep a low profile and keep your expenses down in order to find some equilibrium during these retrograde days!

Promises, games and repeat situations can wear you down, so slow down. These are very busy days filled with endless tasks which need prioritizing. How easy it is to get taken advantage of. You know the story: so make a conscious decision not “to play” anymore… Back down, re-evaluate your way of responding, and choose your words carefully this retrograde. Now is the time to review your choices and choose the decisions you make.

“I was part of that strange race of people aptly described as spending their lives doing things they detest to make money they don’t want to buy things they don’t need to impress people they dislike.” — Emile Henry Gauvreau

Time to keep your eyes open and keep your wits about you…this is no time for letting your guard down. You may feel that your authority is being challenged or that you want to challenge the authority of someone else simply because things are not going your way… in the usual way that is because these are unusual times.

Although planets are weakened when in apparent retrograde motion and the mental, communication planets Mercury and Jupiter are both retrograde. This transit is further complicated by the exchange of signs or mutual reception between these two… when two planets are in each other’s signs of rulership. Jupiter rules this retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius and travels through Gemini, the sign ruled by Mercury. Both Jupiter and Mercury are weakened by this placement and support a more scattered, mis-informed and mis-understanding of thoughts, ideas and agreements. Caution is needed when entering contracts, take the time for thorough research.

This retrograde Fire energy is rising now with nowhere to go except backwards. As the Inner Journey tells us:

If you are not learning and moving forward, you are unconsciously entrenching older patterns more deeply. You are actually going backwards. So take a few minutes each week to reflect on what matters most in your life.

A positive financial and debt re-view and resolution time, indeed! Take action carefully; re-consider your options…in fact, opt out if you don’t want to find yourself on the defensive. The continuing areas of un-resolved financial issues, shared resources in utility bills, appliance repairs, vehicle insurance, property taxes, appliance breakdowns and where did that number go?

Everything seems to happen all at once and even your friends are difficult to rely upon… so rely on yourself and get done what you can. When a planet goes retrograde it retraces its steps and provides the opportunity to reconsider your options and get things right the best you can. There is no real point in resurrecting the past when we have retrograde Mercury providing the best replay of past drama… as mentioned earlier, the past comes back to haunt you.

Take a deep breath when no one answers the phone, comes up with their share of the bill or you get short-changed by those who feel “entitled”…short changed is better than getting the shaft! Go ahead with plans to re-assess your property, re-finance your house and re-apply for that loan, that credit or that job.

Leave your ego aside as it usually gets in the way and definitely will get in the way over the next 3 weeks. Remember the Art of the Deal or the Lost Art of the Hook? The basic meaning of a retrograde Mercury in its lowest expression is the thief… and more specifically “the pickpocket”

“Pickpocketing is a subtle theft,” says Jay Albenese, a criminologist at Virginia Commonwealth University. “It requires a certain amount of skill, finesse, cleverness, and planning… and the patience to do all that isn’t there” among American young people. This is “a reflection of what’s going on in the wider culture.”

Even the most loyal of citizens realize today that our greatest play on words comes from the political promises and campaign stories of a better, healthier economy …Being outwitted by a pickpocket in a crowded subway car is one thing; being relieved of your savings by an anonymous hacker/banker is quite another.

The higher expression of retrograde Mercury is the Magician… being and able to find Peace and Magic in the midst of change and crises. Knowledge and experience will see you through. Trust yourself as you learn to live in harmony

“Peace comes not from the absence of conflict, but from the ability to cope with it.”– Unknown Source

Mercury Retrograde 2012 — Tips to Make the Most of It

I’ve written on Mercury Retrograde before, but given the intensity of this week’s alignments and residual effects from last week’s solar flares, it feels like a good time for some empowering reminders. Please remember, Astrology indicates influence, not destiny! If you convince yourself that all of your electronics will go haywire and prepare yourself for fights galore and travel mishaps, you can certainly bring such things into your reality. This is not that kind of article. ;)

It’s actually a re-post of some earlier articles explaining the Mercury Retrograde phenomenon and how you can work with that energy instead of fighting it or wondering what the heck just happened “to” you. Information allows us to respond and embrace instead of reacting. You don’t need to chase symptoms or play whack-a-mole with unwelcome “gifts” from the Universe. I’ve got Mercury, Virgo and Gemini (both ruled by Mercury) all over my natal chart, and I’ve reached the point where Merc Ret periods have become some of my most productive, restorative and jubilant times. That recognition came after a steep learning curve, which I hope this article eases for you. If you’ve been following my blog for a few years, you’ve seen this post before. People continue to thank me for the reminders, so here goes:

It’s that TIME again! Mercury retrograde begins in Aries and runs from March 12 thru April 4, 2012, with a “Shadow Period” on either side (February 27-April 16). If your electronics, communication and travel plans go a little wonky, here’s what may be influencing things. Mercury Retrograde is an astrological term describing something that occurs three or four times per year (four in 2009 and 2010). For approximately three weeks at a time, the planet Mercury appears to move backwards relative to Earth. Mercury Retrograde is perhaps the best known astrological phenomenon –even by people who don’t normally “follow” astrology.

Why? Because Mercury rules communication, and when communication moves backwards all sorts of things become chaotic. I didn’t really believe in this phenomenon until I started coaching people. I noticed that during certain three week periods, all or most of my clients experienced major misunderstandings with spouses, friends, family and/or co-workers, and that emails had a tendency to bounce back for no known reason. Checks would get lost in the mail, and oftentimes intensities would arise that no one truly cared about, but somehow everyone felt s/he needed to do battle over them anyway. In my own life, I found that PayPal transfers often went haywire, and my (now ex-) husband’s computer would crash like clockwork three times per year.

I finally started paying attention to Mercury Retrograde and found that I could prepare myself and my clients for these time periods. We do create our own realities, but the more in tune we are, oftentimes the more we feel the effects of various planets. Astrologers suggest some general guidelines:

1) If at all possible avoid signing contracts or negotiating details during a Mercury Retrograde.

2) Back up your computer before Mercury goes Retrograde, and avoid downloading new software until Mercury goes Direct.

3) Allow extra time for financial transactions as they may get delayed. The check that always arrives “just in time,” might arrive late during a Mercury Retrograde. Have a Plan B or C, just in case.

4) Try to avoid discussions about heated issues, unless you don’t mind risking a full-on fight. Mercury rules communication, and oftentimes Mercury Retrograde results in people hearing false accusations even though none were intended.

5) Have patience with your electronics. They’re trying their best. If your phones, computer, email, cell phone or internet act up, take a deep breath and ask yourself if you really need to push things right now. Pushing usually makes things worse, especially during a Mercury Retrograde. Having a sense of humor about how much we’ve come to rely on our communication tools can help shift your energy from total frustration bordering on insanity to an appreciation of the natural ebb and flow of life.

6) Don’t get upset if someone doesn’t respond to your emails or phone calls during this time. It may not be personal at all. Cyberspace has a way of gobbling up undelivered messages during Mercury Retrograde. See if you can wait until it goes Direct.

7) Try to avoid travel or anything related to travel during these times. Flights have a tendency to get delayed, reservations lost, and baggage misplaced. If you must fly, pack an extra set of clothes in your carryon and make sure you have what you’d need if you spent more time in the airport than initially planned. If you must drive somewhere, bring a good book on tape in case you spend extra hours in traffic. Preparation does not mean you will cause yourself delays; it just means you’ll enjoy your time should an unavoidable delay occur.

Ways to thrive in Mercury Retrograde. The last list focused on survival, but Mercury Retrograde does support some special actions:

1) Finish up any old, lingering projects. You might not want to submit, release, or publish them during this time, but old projects can benefit from a fresh look. Mercury also helps with creativity, making Mercury Retrograde an ideal time to edit or revise.

2) Clean out your closet, file drawer or office. Again, that Retrograde energy amplifies your ability to process through old things.

3) Evaluate how well you’ve achieved your goals and what things you’d still love to bring into your life. Mercury is also the messenger to the gods, similar to an angel. Mercury Retrograde marks a period of Mercury “slowing down,” which means our requests and longings can find more potent expression into the universe. This is a terrific time to ponder intentions.

4) Enjoy some solitude or time away. Read a book, take a walk in nature, or practice mindfulness with a sense of humor.

5) I’ll say it again: have a sense of humor. Mercury, or quicksilver, in alchemy is also known as a trickster god. Mercury changes forms fast and especially influences those born under the sign of Gemini. In fact, people with lots of Mercury in their astrological charts tend to feel Mercury Retrograde more strongly than others. If you can get in touch with that laughing trickster side, you’ll find that Mercury Retrograde stirs the pot in mischievous yet potentially healing ways. A little giggle goes a long way.

6) If you’d like to try something but want to make sure you have some kind of loophole, Mercury Retrograde offers the perfect chance for that. Things almost always go awry with commitments made during this time, so if you feel commitment-shy, you can ensure yourself some wiggle-room during these times. It doesn’t mean a contract or agreement will end; it just means things may happen that would render it null and void if one or both parties decided they wanted out.

7) Realize that you do have influence. You are not a slave to astrology, and you can maximize any events that come your way. Attitude makes a huge difference. If you can practice acceptance with curiosity, you will find Mercury Retrogrades can offer potent transformations in your life. As a Gemini who feels these shifts both in my own life and in the lives of those I coach, I have come to love Mercury Retrogrades! They feel like cosmically sanctioned vacations and I take them as such. I ease up on communication and turn inside, enjoying the still point within swirling chaos. It provides excellent practice for the rest of life, too, because life has a funny way of surprising us sometimes. With Mercury Retrograde as training ground, we can learn to meet anything and everything with Grace.

[LOL! I've got to chuckle here, as this was such a perfect example of Mercury's fun. I decided to replace my old website address with my blog link at the bottom of this article, even though my website http://internationalrenaissancecoaching.com redirects automatically to the blog. I did it at the last moment, and the post went out to my email subscribers with wordpress misspelled! Nothing serious, but quite a penultimate wink.]

The Shadow of Mercury Retrograde Persists: How Best to Use this Time

Today features another guest blog post by the lovely and wise Electra Jung. Most people know about “Mercury Retrograde,” but not everyone knows about its “shadow period.” Sounds ominous, right? Well, it need not feel that way. As Electra explains, the Shadow of Mercury Retrograde fosters continued inner evaluation, review and healing.

In many ways it’s fitting that the first phase of Ocean’s 11:11 occurs on May 1, still under Mercury’s shadow. This initial event works with this energy, looking to salve deep, unhealed wounds and especially exploring how our outer world reflects our own inner climate. Please feel free to join us if you’d like to participate, or you can do so privately with your own very personal ceremonies, meditations and acknowledgment.

Whether you intend to participate in Ocean’s 11:11 or not, Electra’s insights will help you navigate the rest of April and early May. Many blessings and much love! Thanks, as always, to Electra for her keen awareness and easy explanations of tricky concepts:

The month of April requires patience, temperance and calm in order to manage yourself and your emotions through the challenging planetary cycles… cycles which challenge our daily activities and create disruptions of our familiar patterns and interactions with everyone we know.

The Mercury retrograde that began on March 30th will dominate much of the month of April. Mercury will station direct on April 23 and remain in its “shadow’ until returning to the degree of its retrograde May 12.

This will make the month of April slow-going and frustrating for those accustomed to moving into spring with a bang and getting ideas and plans moving ahead. It is time to ask ourselves what is most important to get done. And we’re learning to BE — fully present — when we do.

“… the only time you ever have in which to learn anything or see anything or feel anything, or express any feeling or emotion, or respond to an event, or grow, or heal, is this moment, because this is the only moment any of us ever gets. You’re only here now; you’re only alive in this moment.”

– Jon Kabat-Zinn

Even as Mercury returned to direct motion…it was in hard aspect to the relentless testing of restrictive Saturn. Mercury opposed to Saturn is another indication of set-back and delay. The intention here is to get yourself, your documents and your life organized before moving forward with any kind of coherence! The more prepared you become… the more informed and confidence you become.

During the “shadow” phase of Mercury we are catching up with all the weak links in our plans, our lives. Until May 11/12 we have time to move slowly forward as Mercury re-covers its lots ground during the retrograde cycle. This natural cycle also give us the time to re-emerge more balanced, capable and self-aware. These previous three weeks have shown where our thinking and speaking have caused havoc in personal and professional relationships.

Moreover, it is well-known among mundane astrologers that the days and weeks prior to and after the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere, that some people have a hard time adjusting to the shift of seasons and the equalization of the Earth’s tilt.

Acts of frustration, impulse and haste work in combination with the Aries stellium of transits. Some of the planets, like Mars, head towards an opposition to Saturn in Libra by the third week of April – compounding the impulsive and aggressiveness in the air, and at times, leading to the volatile inclinations associated with Aries.

Value the month of April to mid-May to rest, re-view and re-connect with yourself. Be consistent with your spiritual practices and remain aware that every moment of every day offers you the chance to re-discover the beauty of living alongside with natural cycles!

In my own life, I found that PayPal transfers often went haywire, and my husband’s computer would crash like clockwork three times per year.
