Here’s a video for anyone who’s been told to “forget about recovery,” that “nothing can be done,” or that “you just need to accept your limitations and move on with the rest of your life.” I was told that by dozens of doctors after my 1998 brain injury, including one of the top neurologists in the US. Yoga played a big part in my own recovery, but so did determination and seeking out those (very) few people who recognized the severity of my circumstances but still believed I could recover. This video shares an amazing transformation. Whether you’ve got your own health challenges or you know someone who could use a little inspiration, this one’s worth a watch. The power of belief, coupled with action!

This video never gets old!! I first saw it a few months ago and have shared it repeatedly on Facebook. Yoga helped me in many ways, too, including physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The beauty of yoga is that we learn quickly that we have complete power over our bodies and minds; it’s up to each of us to embrace that and use that power with care. Thank you!

This is SO inspiring. Thank you so so much for sharing. I shared this video on Facebook too, because it’s such a necessary reminder to all that we can do anything as long as we truly believe we can. <3

David just showed this to me today, having seen it on Facebook. I love these kinds of stories, and I know so many people for whom yoga was one of the biggest keys to getting well. I’m so happy to be able to do yoga again myself. It was quite the frustrating period when my 2011 sacrum injury disallowed me from doing the one thing that has kept my back in reasonable working order since I started practicing yoga in 2000.
A year+ of chiropractic work did remedial correction that I hadn’t received from the 1998 car accident, but it’s only since I blessed my spine with my new magick wand that I have been able to begin anew with a daily yoga practice. My back is loving it, and I remember all the reasons I was missing it so much! Thanks to both of you for commenting.

He mentions him in the video, but I was unable to figure out who the person is.

great story indeed and so happy to see how things like yoga and other alternative ways, coupled with belief, willing and readiness, and devotion can assist. i saw this last year when a friend of mine sent it to me and remember crying from the beauty of seeing the complete joyful empowerment of being in his eyes, through the process and by end. i am happy to hear you have been able to get back to your practice and with a bit of magick are experiencing bliss. again in the spirit of twin powers, we share the “magickal” healings.

Yep! Magickal healings abound!

Yes, it is horrible when doctors tell you that you will be ill the rest of your life. I think it takes away the healing power of hope from so many. Including me.

Wow — hadn’t seen this one. We also need to give the guy credit for his determination. He obviously set one amazingly strong intent and followed through. The video is all the more effective since the first time we get to see him walk, he surprises us by breaking into a run.

Yes, he’s an example in many ways, not least of which is … aim high! Why just try to walk when you can also imagine running?
